PropagandaScope Privacy Policy

1. Scope. This policy covers PropagandaScope's member service: the connector at connector.propagandascope.org, its sign-in and invitation pages, and the operator's administration interface. The public website propagandascope.org needs no sign-in, has no accounts and runs no analytics or tracking scripts; the infrastructure that serves it (Cloudflare) keeps its own access logs.

2. What we collect.

• At sign-in: the email address that Google provides. From the email address we compute a keyed fingerprint that identifies your membership. Google also sends an account identifier, which we do not use or keep. Your email address is stored encrypted and is shown only to the operator, in the administration interface. The fingerprint can be linked to your account and is not anonymous data. We never receive or store your Google password. The operator may also register a member's email address before that member first signs in; it is then fingerprinted, encrypted and kept exactly as an address given at sign-in.
• Membership: which invitation link you joined through, and so who invited you, the date you joined and your last sign-in.
• Authorization records: the credentials created when your AI assistant connects to this service, the number of calls, the first and most recent call times, and whether access is suspended.
• Query records: the requests your AI assistant sends to the connector, and when. We receive only the requests your assistant sends to the connector. Those requests may include information from your conversation.

3. Why we collect it. We use this information to verify your identity and membership, process queries, troubleshoot problems and prevent abuse. Sign-in uses short-lived essential cookies. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

4. What we do not require. We do not require a name, phone number, address or payment details. No advertising, no sale of data.

5. Where it is kept.

• Your encrypted email address, membership record and query records: a main server that accepts no connections from the internet other than the operator's own administrative access. That server holds no key to the email addresses.
• Membership fingerprints, authorization records and the key to the email addresses: the connector service on Cloudflare. While the main server is offline, the connector also holds query records temporarily and hands them over when the server returns.
• Your email address is decrypted only in memory, while the operator views the administration interface, and is never written in readable form.
• The main server's backups contain only the newspaper database and no member data.

6. How long. Query records are deleted after 30 days, including temporarily held copies; what remains are the call counts and the first and most recent call times linked to your fingerprint. Your encrypted email address, membership record and authorization records are kept for as long as your membership record exists. If you email us to leave, we delete your email address, fingerprint, authorization records, counts, membership record and query records within 7 days. Backups contain no member data.

7. Who else processes it. No third party, except those needed to run the service: Google (sign-in; mail to our contact address is handled by Gmail); Cloudflare (hosts the sign-in pages, the connector entry point and the administration interface, and processes IP addresses and traffic data; see its privacy policy); DigitalOcean (hosts the main server, where the encrypted email addresses, membership records and query records are kept); and the AI assistant provider you choose (for example Anthropic or OpenAI), which sends requests on your behalf and receives the query results, under its own policy. If we receive a valid legal demand, we will tell you where the law allows.

8. Your rights. You may ask at any time to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you, by email to propagandascope@gmail.com.

9. Changes. Changes to this policy are posted on this page with a new date.
